Introducing: Dan Dearden
Department: Fastec Engineering
Role: CNC Programme Setter and Operator
Wanting to be an engineer his whole life, Dan D really is part of the family here at Fastec Engineering. Joining the team over 11 years ago, and having worked in the trade his entire career, Dan bought knowledge, talent and sense of humour to the team.
In terms of experience Dan classes himself as the ‘business end of the milling section’ whilst his enjoyment of exotic materials, such as titanium and fermonic metals, ensures he continues to develop and grow.
“I joined Fastec for the knowledge and experience they were offering,” he says. “Every day is a different job and a new challenge. It keeps me out of trouble!
“The family atmosphere is the best thing about working here. There are always smiles on people’s faces, but we’re also a team that know how to work hard.”
Outside of the workshop, Dan is a semi professional dancer, who also loves to run around a squash court and going camping in the caravan at the weekend.
