Fastec Engineering Services Ltd was established in 1974 and specialised in the repeat machining of a wide variety of materials. The company moved to its current premises in Newmarket in 1985 where it manufactures and assembles components for a diverse range of applications, including medical & pharmaceutical, food & drink, optical, scientific, instruments, lasers, robotics, ink-jet printing, oil & gas, military, and agricultural.

The company occupies 15,000 sq ft of office and workshop facilities, and employs approximately 25 people. It offers 3- and 4-axis CNC milling and turning, grinding, light presswork and assembly operations. The ability to provide plated/ painted finished components through our supplier network means that the company can offer a complete service to our customers.

Fastec continues to invest in dedicated machine tools with the latest technology and continued investment in skilled staff through training with a continued review of skills. This ensures that Fastec remains a major force in the provision of quality components and assemblies.

In 2008 Fastec added a fabrication and welding workshop with coded welding to our ever expanding skill set. 2009 sore the addition of an in house design department to continue this trend, bringing the power of today’s CAD/CAM tools including proEngineer and Solidworks into our workshop, in order to better aid our customers’ requirements.

We have also begun to invest in the Japanese 5s workshop management program, which looks at ways in which to continually improve our production process.
